axxessio acquires pirobase imperia

The axxessio GmbH, headquartered in Bonn, signed a purchase agreement on May 5 and acquired pirobase imperia GmbH based in Cologne. Pirobase imperia is a leading German provider of Content Management and Product Information Management systems. The acquisition of the company expands the axxessio group to over 300 employees. In addition, axxessio extends its solution portfolio through the new business areas CMS and PIM and solutions based on Product Experience Management (PXM). For the customers and users of the established products pirobase CMS, imperia CMS and pirobase PIM, the internationally operating axxessio group offers continuous further development and long-term investment security.

The acquisition of pirobase imperia is an important step in the ambitious growth strategy of axxessio and marks another milestone on the way to the top league of software players in the German-speaking region. The company recently opened a branch in Vienna and invested in Infolytics AG, a Cologne-based company that offers custom solutions based on open source technologies, in December 2022. "The axxessio group is consistently implementing its strategy. By acquiring pirobase imperia, the group can now support its customers as a full-service provider for digital transformation. The group's portfolio is completed as in addition to the competence as a solution provider, the strength of a product software company is now also represented in the group", Thomas Dannenfeldt, advisory board of axxessio, describes the future strategic orientation of axxessio.
